Our extra curricular activities
We are delighted to offer a rich and varied programme of after‑school clubs throughout the academic year. These activities give pupils the chance to discover new interests, build valuable skills, and enjoy time with friends in a safe, supportive environment.
Our clubs run across the year on different days and are tailored to various age groups. Children can enjoy a mix of creative, active, and exploratory opportunities designed to spark curiosity and build confidence.
What’s On Throughout the Year
Across the year, pupils will have the opportunity to take part in a diverse range of clubs, including:
- Science Club – Hands‑on experiments and investigations that nurture curiosity and problem‑solving.
- Arts & Crafts – Creative sessions exploring a wide range of artistic techniques and materials.
- Forest School – Outdoor learning focused on teamwork, nature exploration, and practical skills.
- Cooking Club – Fun, engaging sessions where pupils learn basic cooking and food‑prep skills.
- Debate & Topical Talk Clubs – Opportunities to develop speaking, listening, and critical‑thinking skills through guided discussions.
- Sports & Running Clubs – Active sessions encouraging teamwork, physical fitness, and healthy habits.
- Games Clubs – Board games, teamwork challenges, and fun problem‑solving.
- Languages (French) – Introducing children to basic vocabulary and conversation through engaging activities.
- Balanced Bike & Mini‑Makers Playdough Clubs – Early years sessions focused on coordination, creativity, and fine motor skills.
- Art Skills Club – Developing new artistic techniques and expanding creative confidence.
Each term features a different combination of these clubs, giving children opportunities to try something new or continue building on skills they enjoy.
General Information
- Teacher‑led clubs run in shorter blocks during each term.
- Paid clubs run for longer blocks, with dates communicated directly to families.
- Most clubs finish at 4:30 pm, with the exception of Forest School, which finishes slightly earlier.
- Remaining places are allocated after sign‑up on a first‑come, first‑served basis.

Term 1: Week Beginning 14th September - 12th October
Monday
Gardening Club (KS2)
Children will learn about planting, growing and caring for plants while developing an appreciation for nature and the environment.
Tuesday
Debate Club (KS2)
Pupils will build confidence in speaking and listening through discussions, debates and opportunities to share and justify their opinions.
Wednesday
Forest School (KS2)
Outdoor learning experiences will help children develop teamwork, resilience and a deeper connection with the natural world.
Thursday
Choir Club (KS2)
Children who enjoy singing will have the opportunity to learn new songs, improve their vocal skills and perform as part of a group.
Cooking Club (KS1)
Young chefs will prepare simple recipes, learn basic food preparation skills and develop confidence in the kitchen.
Term 2: Week Beginning 16th November - 7th December
Tuesday
Kids Zumba (KS2)
An energetic and enjoyable club where children can keep active, improve coordination and have fun through dance-based exercise.
Christmas Craft Club (KS2)
Pupils will create festive decorations and seasonal crafts while exploring a range of creative techniques and materials.
Wednesday
Forest School (KS1)
Younger pupils will enjoy hands-on outdoor activities that encourage creativity, confidence and exploration.
Thursday
French Club (KS1)
Children will learn simple vocabulary, songs and everyday phrases through fun and interactive activities.
Cooking Club (Lower KS2)
Pupils will develop practical cooking skills while preparing tasty recipes and learning about healthy food choices.
Term 3: Week Beginning 11th January - 1st February
Monday
Geography Club (KS1)
Children will discover different places, cultures and environments through engaging activities designed to spark curiosity about the wider world.
Tuesday
Games Club (KS2)
A fun club where pupils can enjoy board games, puzzles and team challenges that develop problem-solving and social skills.
Art Club (KS1)
Young artists will explore different materials and techniques while expressing their creativity through a range of exciting projects.
Wednesday
Forest School (KS2)
Children will take part in outdoor challenges and nature-based activities that promote teamwork, confidence and resilience.
Thursday
Cooking Club (Upper KS2)
Older pupils will build their independence by creating a variety of recipes and developing practical kitchen skills.
Term 4: Week Beginning 22nd February - 15th March
Tuesday
Computing Club (KS2 Girls)
Girls will explore digital skills, problem-solving and creative computing activities in a supportive and engaging environment.
Games Club (KS1)
A playful club featuring board games, puzzles and cooperative activities that encourage friendship and strategic thinking.
Wednesday
Forest School (KS1)
Children will enjoy exploring the outdoors through imaginative and practical activities that build confidence and independence.
Thursday
Basketball Club (KS2)
Pupils will develop teamwork, coordination and sporting skills while learning and practising the fundamentals of basketball.
Cooking Club (KS1 & Lower KS2)
Children will enjoy preparing simple dishes while learning valuable life skills and building confidence around food.
Term 5: Week Beginning 19th April - 17th May
Tuesday
Maths Club (KS2)
Pupils will take part in fun challenges, puzzles and investigations designed to strengthen mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Wednesday
Forest School (KS1 & KS2)
Children from across the school will enjoy outdoor learning experiences that promote curiosity, resilience and teamwork.
Thursday
Topical Talk Club (KS2)
A welcoming space for pupils to discuss current events and important issues in an age-appropriate way, helping to develop confidence and communication skills.
Sports Club (KS1)
Children will enjoy a variety of fun sporting activities, developing teamwork, fitness and a love of being active.
Cooking Club (Upper KS2)
Older pupils will further develop their culinary skills through practical cooking experiences and exciting new recipes.
